When it comes to smartphone brands, there are two
types: one who innovates the product and the other who just copies the
innovated product. Vivo which comes under the BBK Electronics brand has always
been a great innovator by all means. They were the first to introduce an
In-display fingerprint scanner, pop-up camera, and a lot more. Thus, time as
well they have nailed it with their new line up of smartphones named Vivo X50
and Vivo X50 Pro. You might wonder is that even possible in the smartphone
industry where tech giants like Samsung and Apple own the market. We might
think but is the truth. This time around they have introduced with the gimble
camera or the rotating camera to solve the rotating issue. Isn’t it
interesting, let’s find out?

Technical Overview:
Vivo has launched its new X50 line up of phones with 2
new smartphones. The Vivo X50 will be priced at about Rs.34990 for 8 GB/128 GB
variant and Rs.37990 for the higher end 8 GB/256 GB variant. Let us concentrate
on the Vivo X50 Pro priced at around Rs.49990 for the 8GB/256 GB variant. The
phone will be sold via Flipkart from the 24th of July and pre-booking has
already begun. If you are interested in the product, go book your smartphone at
the earliest if you are OK with a Chinese smartphone. Ok, let's jump into the
camera department. X50 Pro consists of an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor which is ok
for a 2020 smartphone at least, a 5MP periscope camera with 5X optical zoom,
and a 13 MP portrait depth sensor. The main camera sensor is a 48 MP sensor
with gimbal technology embedded into it for world-class stabilization for pro
users.
The gimbal works like a real gimbal which we attach to
a camera which makes stabilization more simple. But traditional gimbals are way
more bugger and heavier and pricier, but Vivo has somehow managed to keep the
entire gimbal system into the glass back smartphone. It uses mechanical
movement to achieve flexible 3D stabilization and can cover angles 300% larger
than any traditional Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) or Electronic Image
Stabilization (EIS). It has a Sony IMX598 customized sensor with a 7P lens and
a double ball suspension mount with an f/1.6 larger aperture. Also, the night
mode has a new variety of color correction for a better viewing experience and
the smartphone works great at low light as mentioned by the company.
The phone is powered by the latest Snapdragon 765G
processor which supports 5G and can handle a decent amount of gaming and heavy
usage and with the 7nm chipset, it can bet for future proof as well. For
graphic processing, Adreno 620 is used. The smartphone lacks a 3.5 mm audio
jack but includes an NFC, which is a good sign in 2020. The battery capacity is
4315 mAh which is good enough for a Full HD
AMOLED display with the advantage of a 90 Hz refresh
rate screen. The phone has glass in both front and back. Also, a 33W fast
charger is included in the box and the company claims that it can charge the
phone from 0 to 57% in just 30 minutes. The phone has an In-display fingerprint
scanner with Bluetooth 5.1 and a type-C connector and also a hole punch cut out
in the front for the front camera.
The smartphone beats some almost all other smartphones
when compared in terms of the camera stabilization and if you are one of those
nerd videographers, just take the shot at the Vivo X50 Pro.
