The
Indian Government took a decision on Monday to ban the apps that was threat to
the nation which includes Byte Dance’s TikTok, Alibaba Group’s UC Browser,
Tencent’s We chat and 56 others. The Ministry of Information and technology
said in the press release that,” These apps are engaging in activities which is
prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the
security of the state and public order.” It also said that they have received
various complaints from various sources which includes violation of data in
some mobile applications (Stealing and Transmitting user’s data abroad to
servers present in other country in an unauthorized manner.)
The
Ban has been under enforcement under the Section 69A of the Information Technology
Act, 2000 which says “Power to issue directions for blocking for public access
of any information through any computer medium as a resource”. It is being said
that the ban has ban imposed due to the India-China border crisis near the
Galwan Valley which nearly killed 20 of the Indian Armed Personnel which
occurred 2 weeks ago. The Diplomats Have been trying to make a conversation for
the Line of Actual Control but it made no difference. The apps which has been
banned are actually making a data breach through the 130 crore Indian’s
Smartphone which was earlier as well, but the Government of India took this as
a Call to Action for the China’s Dumping System across the Globe.

A
notification will be provided to the Internet Service Provider such as Jio,
Airtel, etc. and also Google and Apple for removing the applications from their
respective app stores. Also, the Chinese companies will be contacted by the Government
of India and will be given Legal notices for violating the law in the Indian
constitution. However, the aps will be working as of now, but no new feed or
new profiles can be created in the particular applications. The applications
will show the data which are in the servers locally. The Act will be proceeded
