Poco M2 Pro has finally launched in India

A new one from POCO:

Poco, a sub-brand from Xiaomi has created a hype around the internet about the Poco M2 Pro launched on 7th July 2020 in an online event by Poco. After the success of Poco F1 and Poco X2, they are entering into the budget market under Rs.15,000 which is a great sign for the company to grow. Also, they have been trying to rebrand their lineup of products from Xiaomi which can be avoided in the upcoming smartphones. The Poco M2 Pro also looks similar to the Redmi Note 9.

Physical Overview:

The Poco M2 Pro has on the front has a huge display with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera and earpiece at the top. On the left of the phone, a sim tray is present with slots for 2 nano sim cards and a micro-SD card which is a bonus. On the right side of the phone, a fingerprint scanner is embedded within the power button, which is a good choice to go. Above the fingerprint scanner/Power button is the volume up/down button. On the bottom side of the phone are the single speaker grill, primary microphone with a type-C port for charging, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the top, there is a secondary noise-cancellation microphone and an IR blaster. On the back of the phone, there is a quad-camera setup with a dual-tone Dual LED flash. The phone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in both front and back.

Poco M2 Pro has a huge 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD Display coupled with 4GB/64 GB, 6 GB/64 GB, 6GB/128 GB priced at Rs.13,999, Rs.14,999 and Rs.16,999 respectively. The Ram is bundled with LPDDR4X type Ram and UFS 2.1 storage. M2 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, an 8nm architecture for processing along with Adreno 618 for gaming. Quad-Camera setup is present at the back with a 48 MP AI sensor, an 8MP 119° ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 5MP macro lens for macro photography, and a 2MP depth sensor for measuring the depth of field. It is said that now we can shoot videos in both normal cameras and the ultra-wide sensor, which is a good choice.

The phone is powered by the massive 5000 mAh battery and the best part is that a 33W fast charger is bundled in the box which can charge the phone from 0-50 % in less than 30 minutes. For Haptics, they have gone with the Z-Shocker Haptics for better quality vibrations. A P2i splash-resistant coating is present on both front and back for better splash resistance.
