Instagram embeds reels button on to the homepage

Instagram releases a dedicated reels button for India. A few days back, Tik Tok was banned by the Indian Government due to the threat to the nation. Over 150 million users were using TikTok and Instagram saw this as a major chance to enter into the short video creation platform. Reels was introduced by Instagram as a replacement to Tiktok and there was no proper integration of reels in the Instagram application.

It was embedded at the top of the search, where various popular reels were displayed and stories were displayed in the bottom. Usage of reels has tremendously increased in the Indian sub-continent as more people are interested in the short video making the concept as it gets popular in an easier manner. Now, Instagram has created and embedded the reels button into the home page next to the home button where the search the bar used to be in the first place, thereby moving the search bar to the top right.

Instagram is hoping more people into the reels business as it is more of a money-making platform. But do you think that Reels would replace Tik Tok?

We hope that we have provided useful information to you.
