Samsung has launched its entry-level smartphone
Samsung Galaxy A01 in Indonesia at an Indonesian price of IDR.999,000 roughly
around Rs.5000. This is an Android Go smartphone with all the basic
specifications such as 2Gb of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal storage, and other
specs. After a long time, Samsung has entered the basic entry-level market. It
is doing its test in the Indonesian Market and if it goes well it will be
launched at the bottom line price point below Rs.5000.
If we talk about the technical specifications, it
comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ PLS TFT LCD diaplay which is an entry-level 720p
display and is not that bad enough to consume content. It has the Qualcomm
Snapdragon 439 chipset which is an octa-core 12nm chipset with 4 cortex A-53
cores clocked at 1.95 GHz and 4 cortex a-53 clocked at 1.45 GHz. For the GPU it
has Adreno 505, which is good enough for content consumption. With 2Gb of RAM
and 16/32 GB of internal storage with micro-SD card support and dual SIM
options, this will be one of the best smartphones below the price point of
Rs.5000.
Although at this price point, they are also trying to
offer a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 13 MP main sensor with an aperture
size of f/2.2 and a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture size of f/2.4 for a basic
picture capturing experience. It can also record 1080p at 30fps which is a good
choice. The front camera is a 5 MP basic sensor and the battery is 3000 mAh.
What more do you want at this price? Good job Samsung!
Let’s hope that the phone launches in India soon and
let the internet and connectivity reach the RURAL parts of the nation with
these initiatives. See you tomorrow in another blog.
