Amazon Prime Day sale makes 209 sellers Crorepati

 

Amazon India brought their Prime Day sale on 6 and 7th August of this month which created a huge hype across the internet in India as they were offering seamless offers across products in all categories. In a meeting post the Prime Day sale, Amazon India’s head Mr. Amit Agarwal broke the tip of the ice for consumers.

According to a report by Economic Times, the head said that more than 91,000 small and medium scale sellers have participated in this Prime sale which was exclusive for Amazon Prime members. Also, more than 4000 small scale sellers have sold products up to Rs.10 lakh and 209 medium and large-scale sellers have sold products up to Rs.1 Crore which has made new 209 crorepati’s in India.

The chairperson of Amazon India told us that this sale has pushed hundreds of mew sellers to our platform due to the COVID situation. The most affected was also the online platforms in these times as they were not allowed to deliver products. And in these sales now all the sales have returned to pre-COVID times Flipkart also conducted Independence Day sale from 6th to 10th August which has also gained a hype.

It is known by the analysts that people are more into online shopping even for groceries and medications as there is a fear of the spread of the virus across the population. These online vendors are the only hope for people to lead a regular day to day life. Many non-prime members have switched to prime due to such huge discounts on products and also faster delivery options for regular orders. Amazon is playing a game-changing phenomenon in the online marketplace thereby creating a monopoly also by developing the community.
