Realme has collapsed the smartphone market segment by
launching products more than the demand and of various varieties in order to
create confusion among the consumers and as a result of which every price segment
is filled up with smartphones. A few days back they introduced the C series of
smartphones which is a low-budget smartphone and launched the C1, C2, and C3 smartphones
all of a sudden. Again in a month or so they again skipped al the other numbers
and launched C11 smartphone.
Now, after a few days of time with their budget
segment, they have again come up with new smartphones under the C series, with new earphones, and also launched a new t-shirt. This time around, they have
the C12 smartphone priced at Rs.8,999 for the 3GB Ram and 32 GB storage
variants. Further, they skipped a few model numbers and launched C15 smartphone
priced at Rs.9999 for the 3 GB Ram and the 32 GB storage variant and Rs.10,999
for the 4 GB/64 GB variant. Both the devices have MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and a
massive 6000 mAh battery.
The earphones are named as Realme Buds Classic as a
competitor to the Mi earphones basic priced at Rs.399. The earphones have an
audio driver of 14mm which can provide an ample audio output considering the
price. These are wired headset so it may be a trouble for some users as not
many phones have a headphone jack. Also, thy launched a Dare to Leap t-shirt as a
sign for realme fanboys who are interested in realme products. Although, the
t-shirt is priced too high at Rs.999.
Do you think that this launch event has anything
useful to do in our lives? I don’t think so. Giving the same products under
different names and launching products for a marketing gimmick is not a good
sign for the smartphone community.
