Samsung is one of the finest and largest smartphone manufacturers
in the world. The South Korean company produces the second-largest smartphone
manufacturing unit in Vietnam. Due to some taxation issues and the rate of raw
materials increasing, Samsung is planning to shift its smartphone manufacturing
units to India under the PLI (Production Linked Incentive).
Samsung already has the largest smartphone the manufacturing unit in Noida, and now with its deal with the government Samsung
is about to produce devices worth over $40 billion ( Rs.3 Lakh Crore) over a
period of 5 years. Under the PLI scheme (Production Linked Incentive) scheme
Samsung will benefit by producing smartphones at a very low rate despite all
the taxes, consumers will receive smartphones at a lower price compared to
Chinese brands and other competitors as well.
