Overview:
Xiaomi has a Redmi category of
mobiles where all the Note and Note Pro series are launched for the high spec
mid-range smartphones. It also has basic budget smartphones with all the
basic features that have to be on a smartphone. This time around they have come
up with the Redmi 9 smartphone which is slightly overpriced according to their
previous range of low budget smartphones. Redmi 9 comes in three color variants
and comes in two storage models with the same amount of RAM. It is priced at
Rs.8,999 for the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage model which is quite a good price
but not for the 128 GB storage variant.
The phone has a basic 6.53
inch HD+ 720p display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, which
is a 12 nm octa-core chipset which is a decent chipset for a regular day to day
usage and there won’t be any issues until the storage is full.
Speaking about the camera, it
has a 13 MP basic sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The front
camera is a 5 MP selfie shooter. There is not much to talk about the camera, it
can be used for basic camera usage.
The phone is backed up the
5000 mAh battery which is great as it has a 720p display and a medium range
processor which will be a perfect reason for long-lasting battery life. The
brightness level reaches up to 400 nits. The phone comes with MIUI 12 out of the
box.
