After the ban on Chinese apps a few days ago, after
the dispute between India-China for LAC issue in Galwan valley, now the IndianArmy wants their army Personnel to delete a list of 89 apps from their
smartphones which include social media apps like Facebook and Instagram, games
like PUBG, and dating apps like Tinder, many messaging platforms, Video Hosting
platforms, Content sharing apps, web browsers, also all private blogs and certain
news apps are reported to be deleted.
Due to the leakage of information through many
applications, a threat to the nation may occur in the coming days. In order to
avoid future catastrophe, the Government of India and the Indian Army has
taken this decision for the welfare of the country.
The list of apps was reported by ANI, a news agency
reported on their twitter account about the orders. Also, in the list of
apps, not only Chinese apps but also many renowned companies are there. A
deadline of July 15 has been given to the personnel for deleting the apps, if

not taking smartphones into the dockyard and warships to avoid cyber threats.
A few months ago, personnel was told not to use Facebook
